Sprouting Branches: Growing an ministry team of Oaks of Righteousness from Isaiah 61
     Five writers from The Sara Ministry core team answered a second directive from God to co-author and teach what supernaturally blossomed into a powerful, 20-week curriculum we've entitled, Becoming ALL God Created Me To Be. As the writing progressed an additional member was added to the team, Trixie Jones.
      This in-depth, nine-chapter, small-group study was the first branch that sprouted from the Sara presentation (the root of the ministry).
      The second ministry branch that sprouted from the presentation of Sara's life story was one-on-one mentoring. Through much prayer and discernment, Godly, seasoned, mature women of God began coming forward to serve as mentors, matched with women expressing the desire to be mentored.

THRIVERS is the third ministry branch that sprouted as recovery and support small groups for women, addressing the debilitating issues specifically resulting from childhood physical, sexual, emotional, and spiritual abuse. Childhood abuse is devastating to the very core of a child who then grows up to a devastated and debilitated adult silently screaming for someone to listen... someone to help.

In countless towns and cities across our nation, you can find an abundance of ‘survivors’ groups meeting weekly. These groups can be very helpful as a stepping stone to women who have survived childhood abuse; however, too often women stay 'stuck', living in mediocrity and encouraged to continue to view themselves only as 'survivors' and often with a continuing victim mentality instead of truly THRIVING. GOD wants ALL women to no longer be satisfied or stuck in simply ‘surviving’ day-to-day. He wants YOU to THRIVE! He wants YOU to become ALL that He created you to be from before you were born. He wants YOU to live in true WHOLENESS and FREEDOM from ALL incapacitating issues. WE CAN SHOW YOU HOW through our Thrivers curriculum for personal study, one-to-one study, or small recovery & support groups.

Romans 12:2	OUR HISTORY In the Beginning The Sara Ministry Foundation is the result of a simple act of obedience to God by one woman, 'Sara', to write her true life story women and share it with - you. The ripple effect has proven to be a tremendous, dynamic movement of the Spirit of God, birthing multiple ministries whose purpose is to take women from simply surviving to THRIVING in their day-to-day lives. Sara was born of adversity and for 28 years survived the gross realities of sin’s evil and ugliness. Today, she has come full circle and THRIVES, through a life-style of daily... Faith God’s amazing Grace His incomparable Love Hard work and perseverance toward becoming ALL that God created her to be. It is now Sara's (Jen Miller), deepest heart's desire, spiritual calling, and life-purpose to walk along side other women who desire to be WHOLE and FREE - to be ALL that God created YOU to be! Sara’s story proves that the promises of God are REAL and that miracles DO happen today. She is a living, breathing, thriving, true-life miracle of God; a testament to His transforming power and redeeming love. Her story proves that no matter our circumstances, our sins, our victimizations, each and every one of us has a divine appointment in life. YOU have a divine appointment that God designed uniquely for you and set in motion before you were even born! You can become ALL that God created you to be, if you really want it. The LIVE Presentation of Sara's Story... was the second act of obedience to God by one woman. In adherence to God’s directives, Jen Miller shared weekly in a live presentation Sara’s true story of hope and miracles, with stark truth, deep love, and compassion. Over 100 women experienced Sara's story 'live' before the book was published. The live presentation proved to be truly impacting and life-changing toward the principles and promises of God's Word exampled through Sara's true life story. Each time Sara's story was shared, without exception, the presence and power of the Spirit of God was evident in in ministering to the women: gently removing blinders from the eyes of the heart and mind to sin and to the grace and power of our loving, gracious, forgiving and freeing God loving pointing to needed area of change toward healing and growth of spirit, mind, and emotion powerfully renewing and restoring hope planting seeds in fertile hearts toward becoming ALL God has created each of us to be breaking open, watering, and nurturing seeds that had long-since been planted offering tools toward a change of heart, mind, emotional.... life as a whole and empowered woman of God Book endorsements / reviews . The Core Team The third act of simple obedience was by each of five women who God calls "Oaks of Righteousness" out of Isaiah 61:1-3—our mission statement and purpose. In this passage He lists the marching orders for what quickly developed into The Sara Ministry Foundation. The five women divinely called to serve at the on-set of the live presentations as the 'core team' to aid and support Jen Miller, through prayer and practical help was: Barb Marchand, seasoned prayer intercessor, exhorter, teacher, and mentor Lisa Schielein, seasoned prayer intercessor, exhorter, teacher, and mentor Robyn Speciale, seasoned prayer intercessor, exhorter, teacher, and mentor Karen Traenkenschuh, seasoned prayer intercessor, exhorter, teacher, and mentor These four women boldly stepped forward in a blind act of faith to answer the call of God on each of their hearts to act as prayer warriors, supporters, encouragers, protectors, and defenders of this ministry.

	Laying the Foundation Again through the amazing, supernatural leading of the Holy Spirit of God, The Sara Ministry grew to be served by an executive board, general board, advisory board, and an accountability commission, of Godly women and men, established in the fall of 2007. Early 2008, The Sara Ministry Foundation was incorporated by the State of Illinois as a legal non-profit ministry. The board focused on laying a further solid foundation as a non-profit ministry by completing and to the State of Illinois our application for 501(c)3 tax except status. In the spring of 2008, we began to reach further out minister to those in need, through speaking engagements and teaching / mentoring opportunities. Jen Miller was urged by Rev. John Harper, IL State Executive Director of Teen Challenge International, to "come speak to our 14-17 year old girls in Decatur." Thus began a weekly outreach ministry to the teen residents of Audrey's Home for Girls. In August 2008, Jen Miller's book which birthed the ministry, Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep: The Story of Sara, was released by Tate Publishing through the world's three largest book distributors including Ingram and Spring Arbor. September began a book tour which enabled Jen to meet and minister to a broader scope of women and men, and further introduce The Sara Ministry to the world. Building on the Foundation The Sara Ministry team of authors, speakers, facilitators, teachers, mentors, worship and prayer leaders continues to daily carry a passion and purpose to meet the spiritual and emotional needs of EVERY WOMAN who crosses our path, no matter what she's experienced in life... fear, debilitation, depression, oppression, loss, grief, infertility, unwanted pregnancy, loneliness, self-loathing, abortion, divorce, promiscuity, childhood abuse, partner / spousal abuse, addictions and harmful habits and tendencies, suicidal thoughts and tendencies .... EVERY life-issue that keeps you from being ALL that God created you to be.
