“Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD (Psalm 27:14).”
“I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of
being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or
in
want (Philippians 4:12 NIV).”
Some days I feel overwhelmed by the busyness of life itself. Sometimes it's physical pain or
tiredness. Or being aware of the pain that a family member or a dear friend is going through
can also overwhelm.
Going through tough times needs courage, and although I don't always feel I have enough, I
know God is always there to see me through. “He gives strength to the weary and increases
the power of the weak (Isaiah 40:29 NIV)." This I will always know.
Father, I am weak but you are strong. Through the struggles of day-to-day busyness, pain,
and
weariness, I look to you for the courage to go on. Help me to do what I need to do in Your
strength. Amen
